Anna Nalean serves as the Iowa Council of Foundations' (ICoF) Community Foundation Program Assistant and VISTA (Volunteers In Service To America) Leader through the Corporation for National and Community Service for 2011-2012.
The ICoF welcomed Nalean in 2011; her duties include providing resources, professional development, networking and technical support to VISTAs and site supervisors at Iowa Community Foundations on behalf of the Iowa Council of Foundations. In addition she will coordinate, implement and facilitate trainings and conference calls for VISTAs to increase their knowledge about community foundations, the transfer of wealth and other topics relevant to VISTA member service.
Nalean, graduated with a BA in Sociology from Simpson College (Indianola, IA), and has previously worked as an AmeriCorps VISTA in Dubuque, IA. Through her active volunteerism during college, as well as her year of VISTA service, Nalean comes to ICoF with experience working with many nonprofit organizations across Iowa.
